Visitors to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum can now take a trip through time to King Tut's Tomb, see actual mummies and view artifact recreations of the most-recognizable Egyptian pieces in the world. The "Treasures of Egypt" exhibit is now open to the public at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.

Through the generous support of the Engelstad family, visitors to the museum can now experience ancient Egypt close-up. Following the closing of Luxor's King Tut museum at Luxor, the Vegas hotel donated all the pieces to the new exhibit and now they are all on display in an area twice the size.

With over 500 replicas on display, this modern twist on ancient Egypt includes King Tut's golden throne, shrines, chariots, a gold-painted sarcophagus and much more.

One of the highlights of the "Treasures of Egypt" exhibit is the hands-on mummy-rendering technology, which allows visitors to "scan" a mummy replica and view real-life medical images of real mummies.

Discover how archeologists in the early 20th century unearthed some of the most renowned treasures of Egypt, including the Tomb of Tutankhamun. This exhibit can be visited from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and it is located at 900 N. Las Vegas BLVD.
