The city of Las Vegas has prepared a very special parade celebrating the beginning of summer and the pool season as well as the 50th anniversary of the famous Las Vegas sign installation. The event will take place on Thursday, May 14th on the

, in where more than 300 ladies in swimsuits will try to set a new Guinness Record for the largest bikini parade in history. The bikini parade will be preceded by a short ceremony in where Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will proclaim the beginning of the summer season. Right after the ceremony, the Fashion Show Mall across from Wynn Las Vegas will present an exclusive fashion parade starting at 10:00 am. The event will present a retrospective runway show featuring vintage suits from the 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as colorful and neon suites from the 80s, string bikini’s from the 90s, and the latest in bathing suits from some of the most exclusive designers in the world.

 

The bikini parade will kick off at noon and will be hosted by former Playboy Playmate and reality show celebrity, Holly Madison. During the parade,

will be shut down so hundreds of ladies can rally the city’s streets in their bikinis.

 

The same day, several hotels on the Las Vegas Strip will join the celebrations by launching a series poolside parties and special summer promotions. Bare at the Mirage Hotel and Casino will offer complimentary entry all day for Las Vegas residents. At MandalayBay Resort and Casino, the first 100 non-guests will get access to the Beach, in addition, the Beach will also offer reduced prices on its cabanas as well as in its cocktail and bottle services. The Monte Carlo Resort, Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino and Luxor Las Vegas will open their pools to the public and offer discounts on all drinks from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.
