Kings of Leon to play in Las Vegas

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is glad to inform that Nashville Rockers and Grammy nominated band, Kings of Leon has recently confirmed that they will make a stop in Las Vegas to play a one night concert at the Joint.
The announcement was made early this week, the three-time Grammy nominees (Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals) announced their plans to make a stop in Las Vegas on August 19th after two highly successful shows at the original Joint about a year ago, when they played with openers the Stills and We Are Scientists. This time the band will play at the newer, bigger Joint and will bring emerging rockers, the Whigs, as their opening act.
The Kings recently played the MTV Movie Awards and are currently touring in support of their fourth record, “Only by the Nightâ€Â, released in September, 2008. The album debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart and rapidly became a big seller in the UK and Australia. The album has sold almost 2 million copies in the UK alone, with worldwide sales of more than 5 million. The band will kick off their new tour on June 15th in London, England and make several stops in Europe before returning home later this summer to kick off its next leg of North America dates August 9th in Morrison, Colorado. The outing runs through mid-October, and most of the newly added dates go on sale later this month.
