Jean-Robert Bellande leaves Bodog Team

Bodog Poker has recently informed that poker pro Jean-Robert Bellande won't continue with Bodog's Team after the site decided not to renew his contract.

“Jean-Robert Bellande’s deal with Bodog Poker expired at the end of October and the decision was made not to renew the deal. It has been an absolute pleasure having Jean-Robert as one of Bodog.com’s Poker pros and we wish him all the best.” commented a Bodog spokesman.

Bellande, who joined Bodog back in March 2008,  gained public exposure in 2005 after finishing in 3rd place in a World Series of Poker circuit event, winning $210,900.  Only a week later, Bellande defeated John Phan to win first prize at the 2005 Winnin' o' the Green tournament, adding $148,000 to his tournament earnings.

Bellande also finished in the money of World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events, and appeared in the WPT Bad Boys of Poker II invitational event won by Tony G. At the 2008 WSOP he came in second place in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout event.

At the 2008 World Series of Poker Bellande got the second place in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em - Shootout event, earning $173,564 and finished in 442nd place out of 6844 entries at the Main Event. As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $1,000,000.

Bodog’s three remaining pros include Evelyn Ng, Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, and WSOP Bracelet winner David Williams.
