Heavy Metal comes to Vegas

Las Vegas will tremble this September when three of the most legendary hard rock and heavy metal artists hit SinCity for what is expected to be a furious discharge of monolithic rock.

The first name in the list of artists shaking the Las Vegas ground is the famous rocker Vincent Furnier aka Alice Cooper, who will be performing his unparalleled show at the Orleans Arena from September 5th to September 7th. Cooper, who became famous in the 70’s with songs such as “Welcome to my Nightmare”, "School's Out" to "I'm eighteen” will be visiting Las Vegas as part of his recent “Psych-Drama Tour”, which by the way will feature the usual theatrics including the fake executions, electric chairs, guillotines and dangerous reptiles.

Number tow in the list is the legendary British Band Motorhead. Formed in 1975 by Lemmy Kilminster, Motorhead is probably one of the most significant metal bands from the late 70’s and early 80’s, its music, which has been described as a mixture of punk rock and heavy metal, has influenced the sound of an entire generation of bands, including the Bay Area Thrash legends Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax. Lemmy and friends will be staging a one night show on September 4th at the House of Blues, the show will also feature several special guests, including the famous punk band Misfits, Valient Thorr, Airbourne, and Year Long Disaster.

The English heavy metal act Judas Priest will also rock Las Vegas with one of the heaviest concerts ever seen in town. The British "Metal Gods" have sold over 35 million albums worldwide, including some of the most successful records in the history of heavy metal such as “British Steel”, “The Sad Wings of Destiny” and “Painkiller”. Rob Halford, Judas Priest front man and one of the most famous heavy metal singers ever, set a precedent in the world of metal fashion in the late 70’s by introducing the leather suites, spikes and S&M style into his outfits, which by the way will possibly be on display at the Las Vegas Show. Judas Priest show will take place at the Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms Resort and Casino next September 4th.
