Hard Rock Hotel to open 1,200 positions in Las Vegas
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is giving great news for workers currently looking for a job in Las Vegas, according to recent news, the hotel management has recently informed that due the hotel's expansion plans, Hard Rock will hire 1,200 employees by the end of 2009 to fill the positions needed to operate the property's two new hotel towers expected to open at the end of the summer.
Kirvin Doak Communications, the firm that in charge of handling Hard Rock's public relations, made the announcement on its Twitter feed this evening. The property recently set up a Twitter account exclusively to post information about the "Hot Jobs of the Day" throughout the hiring process. Positions that need to be filled include: dealers, housekeepers, bellmen, front desk agents and room reservation agents. The resort said it will hold job fairs in the next months, however, no official dates have been announced at the moment.
The millionaire expansion project kicked off in 2007 and is expected to be ready in the next few months, the expansion project includes two new hotel towers, which will bring Hard Rock's room total from 650 to 1,525, the newly opened Joint concert and event venue, a restaurant, a tattoo parlor and 75,000 additional square feet of meeting and convention space. The Hard Rock's management also announced that a new nightclub and a spa and health club will also be part of the expansion.
