The Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel is well known for its retro vibe and its amazing collection of rock and roll memorabilia, but when it comes to poker, the Hard Rock is definitely miles away from the other Las Vegas hotels and casinos. Poker has become a big deal in Vegas, after all, SinCity is the cradle of the WSOP and other great tournaments and thousands of players come to LV looking for something beyond the noisy slots and cold drinks, all they want is to play poker, plane and simple.

Las Vegas casinos have reacted to this growing interest for poker by opening bigger, better and improved poker rooms all over the Strip and to remodel and expand some legendary casinos in order to make them more appealing for people interested in playing poker. But that wasn’t the case with the Hard Rock Hotel, which never seemed interested in joining the poker frenzy until now.

Hard Rock has decided to catch up with other Las Vegas casinos and launch The Poker Lounge, a $30 million dollar poker room and a club equipped with a full service bar, slots, video poker and a total of 18 new poker tables. The firm behind the Poker Lounge design is Zaff Designs, which has created a completely unique environment, decoration and a comfortable space that includes over sized leather chairs.

Players can now get involved in all kinds of poker including No Limit with Kills as well as Straddle. The Poker Lounge will host tournaments regularly including deep stack tourneys on weekends for a $330 and a $540 buy in. You can also play in a variety of sit n go styled games for much lower buy ins, starting as low as $65 and all the way up to $2,200.

But since The Lounge it isn’t just a poker room players, guests will also have the chance to party and enjoy drinks and music thanks to a unique sixteen zone speaker system so visitors and players alike can have something to listen to besides other sound of the poker chips and noisy players bluffing and yelling.
