Many rumors and conjectures have floated up this week regarding EverestPoker.com plan to launch its own sportsbetting website. According to several online gaming sites, the already successful online poker and casino operator and EverestPoker.com main subsidiary, Gigamedia Limited, is ready to enter the sports betting sector later this year.
 
EverestPoker owner and gaming operator GigaMedia Limited, recently quoted comments made by Chief Executive Officer Arthur Wang in where he explained that this would be the first step in an expansion process that includes the possibility of launching its own online sportsbook in the following months.

The Asian gaming firm is also alleged to have already signed a contractual agreement with an “established sportsbetting company”, however, none of the company representatives have referred to this issue and they all declined to make any further comments.

 
Gigamedia chairman Arthur Wang has described the company’s initiative as a key step to consolidate the company in the ultra competitive online sportsbetting sector and to expand the services offered by its flag company, EverestPoker.com.
