Full Tilt Poker adds tables for Tom "durrrr" Dwan's Million Dollar Challenge
- 2-13-2009
Online poker site Full Tilt Poker has just opened four $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha heads up tables created exclusively to hold Tom "durrrr" Dwan's Million Dollar Challenge. About a month ago, the professional online poker player Tom "durrrr" Dwan issued challenge to his fellow players, in which any player could go against and win $1.5 million. In order to win durrrr's $1.5 million Challenge, both players will have to take part in a total of 50,000 hands. After the hands are played, whoever gets the highest bankroll wins the cash. Dwan would put $1.5 million on the line, while his opponent only has to put one third of Dwan’s wager.
ÂÂ
The format for this challenge includes playing 4 tables at a time, either NL or PLO, $200/$400 stakes with 200 to 400 minute sessions. In addition to Dwan’s $1.5 million, all the cash won during the challenge will be kept, meaning that if an opponent defeats durrrr and makes $500,000 during the course of the challenge, then the player will get the $500.000 plus Dwan’s $1.5 million. ÂÂ
ÂÂ
Regardless of Dwan's fame as a high-stakes predator, several players have confirmed that they are ready to accept  Tom “durrrr†Challenge any time, those players are Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine, Phil Ivey and Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro.
ÂÂ
Even when none of the players have set an official date for the challenge, several online poker forums have recently rumored that Patrik Antonius will probably be the first player meeting Dwan at Full Tilt’s tables. Each of these challenges is expected take between a month or two to complete, which means that the entire poker world will be holding its breath for at least the next six months. More information will be posted as soon as the challenge gets underway.
