First Las Vegas Carnival pushed back to October 2010

Las Vegas Carnival, Inc, a USA / Trinidad based operation, announced today that its inaugural s carnival event in Las Vegas originally scheduled on May 1st, 2010, has been re-scheduled to October 10th, 2010 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

According to the event's organizers,  the company needs extra time to accommodate the bands and performers slated to play at the “VegasFest” concert and music festival and negotiate with potential broadcast partners.

The “VegasFest” and Carnival in Las Vegas will be held simultaneously at the LVMS beginning at 10:00 am and running until 2:00 am. Las Vegas Carnival will feature a more eclectic mix of Calypso, Soca, Samba, Hip Hop, Pop, Latin, Reggae and Dance Hall. This experience is being designed to appeal to a worldwide audience with a spectacular concert and music festival the day prior to the carnival celebration with an impressive lineup of well-known performers. Las Vegas Carnival event will bring the traditional carnival atmosphere and spirit complete with costumed masqueraders, dance, colorful costumes, music and an array of different ethnic foods.

The carnival festivities will be preceded by several parties  held at various Las Vegas nightclubs and other venues. Other events include a major all-day concert / music festival, as well as a ‘Carnival Village’ and Food Festival featuring diverse international cuisine.
