announced that the company will start with the installation of several electronic
poker table systems in three casinos in
This is PokerTek's first selling in Canada, 25 of the 43 tables were installed in Casino de Montreal, which currently is PokerTek's largest installation of electronic poker tables in the world. Casino du Lac-Leamy installed 13 of the tables and Charlevoix another 5 tables. The casinos will use the tables to offer Texas Hold’em cash games in French or English. PokerPro electronic system deals cards and displays them on private screens similar to online poker tables and displays general information on a large screen in the center of the table . It also gives the chance to set up betting accounts and keep statistical information on the games. In addition, players can enjoy single table and multi-table tournaments. The system is intended to increase the casino revenue by rising the number of hands dealt per hour and reducing the labor costs of poker rooms.
