F1 racer Nelson Piquet Jr. joins SKUSA SuperNationals XIII in Vegas

F1 racer Nelson Piquet Jr., son of three-time Formula One world champion Nelson Piquet, has announced that he will compete in the Superkarts USA Super Nationals XIII event running from November 18th to 22nd at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino.
Piquet is the third F1 racer confirmed for this event. Other F1 pilots scheduled to appear are Scuderia Toro Rosso's driver Sebastien Buemi and Michael Schumacher, who will run for Tony Kart Racing Team. Piquet will make his first official appearance behind the wheel since his departure from the Renault team earlier this year. Piquet will race for the Intrepid team in the SuperPro KZ2 category for 125cc karts.
“I'm really excited about this race and am so happy that Intrepid invited me to drive for the team. It came about after they supplied karts for the Monaco Kart Cup and after that I went to visit them at the factory in Italy, where they have a very impressive set-up. Karting is one of my favorite types of racing and I'm so looking forward to driving one of the fastest karts around in this race.â€Â commented Piquet.
The event will close on Sunday, November 22nd with the "Unofficial" SuperNationals 13 After Party at the famed Voodoo Lounge club located at Rio's MasqueradeTower. For information on how to buy tickets for this event, call 951-491-0808.
