Las Vegas Free Business advertisingThe presidential race in the U.S is warming up, and with so many problems worrying the American population including a possible economic recession and the increasing price of fuel and food, both candidates will surely have a hard time trying to get support from U.S voters. Still, a considerable percentage of the voters haven’t decided for a candidate yet, a situation that has taken both candidates to say and to promise what it takes to secure as many votes as possible. But even when McCain and Obama seem to know how to play their cards, there are still some unsolved issues that could move voters to take one side or the other. For example, online gambling and a possible agreement to derogate to the ultra restrictive UIGEA bill voted in 2006.

Senator McCain has showed a conservative style of playing; saying last week that he’s is not considering any possible measures to ease the current online gambling restriction and revealing a traditional and hard position towards online gaming. But McCain’s comment wasn't cheap and cost him the support of thousands of sportsbetting fans, casino operators and poker players who support the freedom of gambling. For example, Doyle Brunson, one of the most relevant icons in the world of professional poker and a hardcore Republican, is now putting his poker chips on Barak Obama. Mr. Brunson, WSOP champ and an avid poker player, said that this time he can’t support Senator McCain because his party supported the infamous ban on internet gambling.

"Poker players have to support Obama. God help the internet gambling business if McCain does happen to win." said Brunson.

Another poker pro, Andy Bloch, expressed that most players in Las Vegas taking part at the main event of the World Series of Poker, have taken the same decision. Bloch, who has cashed $715,000 so far at the 2008 World Series of Poker, sees Obama's poker skills, rather than his gambling policies, as the better qualification for the job.

"There are a lot of skills playing poker that would help the chief executive In poker you have to put yourself in the shoes of your opponents, get inside their heads and figure out what they're thinking, what their actions mean, what they would think your actions mean, and read bluffs." he said.

Senator Obama has declared several times that he’s willing to study the possibility to regulate online poker and gambling and legalize the operations through a series of taxes, rather than simply block it and criminalize the companies and users.
