Las Vegas Discount CouponsInter Continental International Hotel Group representatives expressed to the media that the brand new CrownePlaza hotel, scheduled to open in 2010 in Las Vegas, will have an Asian themed appearance. The 386-room, 31-story hotel is under development, but it is likely that it will include a casino, at list three gourmet restaurants, three lounges, spa and swimming pool, fitness center, business center and a shopping area. The hotel is also considering a 16,000 square feet area for conventions and banquets. Andrew Lai, the hotel owner, will also work as a general manager after getting a license and am agreement with the InterContinental Hotels Group.

Due its proximity with the ChinaTown, the new Las Vegas hotel will have a particular Asian look in both interior decoration and the facade. The hotel is also located near the Wynn and Treasure Island hotels providing additional attractions said Mike Higgins, regional vice president for Intercontinental Hotel Group.

Las Vegas previously held a Crowne Plaza Hotel; unfortunately the licensing agreement with the Hotel group that controls the brand expired several years ago and no efforts were made to renovate the contract. We’re going to look for future development opportunities there as well” said Gina LaBarre, vice president of brand management for Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts.
