CityCenter Las Vegas Implements guestLink Connectivity Technology in 7,000 of its Rooms
The $11 Billion, 68 acre CityCenter project in Las Vegas continues to provide guests with the latest in technology by recently installing 7,000 guestLink connectivity devices into their guest rooms. These revolutionary units were installed in the Mandarin Oriental, ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa with plans for more devices to be installed in the future.
guestLink units provide travelers with a single dock to connect all of their technological devices including their laptop, DVD player, MP3 player, iPod, gaming system, digital camera and more. Now with this new technology, travelers will not have to search for an Ethernet connection or be forced to listen to their iPods through the clock radio.
According to J. Glynn Gross, CEO of Communications Integrators Inc., guestLink is the most revolutionary advance in hotel room technology in the last five decades. “Not since the late 1950’s, when televisions and air conditioners were installed in hotels, has an innovation come along that so dramatically transforms the way guests will spend time in their rooms,†says Gross.
This technology is also beneficial for the CityCenter hotels as guests will most likely spend more time in their rooms, adding to revenue streams from in-hotel services. Recent surveys concluded that guests prefer these type of devices over any other type of connectivity devices on the market.
