CelebPoker.com prepares new live tournament poker series
- 4-13-2009
After taking a few years focused exclusively on the online poker business, CelebPoker.com has recently announced that due the high demand from its player base, the company will soon relaunch its acclaimed series of live poker tournaments held across the UK and Europe. According to the site's management, Celeb Poker is currently negotiating with some of the best casinos and venues in Europe to launch a new tournament series, with a schedule set to be announced in the next months.
Famous for their star studded events, CelebPoker’s live tournaments offered players the chance to enjoy top class entertainment and action, fun and wild after-show parties and meet big names from the world of sport, film, music, business and poker.
“I've lost count of the number of people who have asked us to bring back CelebPoker's live poker tournaments. The game's become too serious. We want to bring back the fun into the live arena. Imagine this: one minute you’re playing against your mates in the pub, the next minute you’re sat next to rogue trader Nick Leeson trying to work out if he's bluffing. Now that's what I call poker!â€Âsaid David Donovan, Chief Executive Officer of CelebPoker.com.
The new tournament series will give players the chance to enjoy celebrity styled events and parties and win big money cash prizes. All the event planning is being conducted and supervised by the company’s own team to ensure that every single venue meets the standards required for a high quality event.
“We don’t do things by halves, so when we announce the schedule, it will feature a series of tournaments that poker players want to be part of. We believe you can have a great time playing poker without taking life so seriously. And we’re looking to put a smile on the faces of our players; apart from when they need to be poker-faced of course.â€Âadded David.
