Blink-182 announces new tour kicking off in Las Vegas

Blink 182 performed its last show on December 16th, 2004 at the Point Depot in Dublin, Ireland, a few months before the band began an almost four year hiatus. DeLonge's formed Angels & Airwaves and launched its debut album “We Don't Need to Whisper†on May 23, 2006, reaching the number 4 position on the Billboard 200 only a few weeks after its release. The same year, Hoppus and Barker formed a new project simply called “+44 “released their first album “When Your Heart Stops Beating†on November 14, 2006 and debuting at number 10 on the Billboard 200.
Band members Travis Barker,
Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus have recently announced that they will officially
embark on their summer tour to prepare their fans for what is going to be the
band’s sixth album. Blink 182 also announced that several support bands,
including mutual friends and new artists, will tour with them for the next
three months. Chester French and
Motion City Soundtrack have been
announced for
“We can't wait to get out on tour this summer. After a four-year break, we're ready to get out on the road and play what we hope will be the most amazing tour of the season. The lineup is awesome. We've got an ever-changing roster of bands, from the most established and successful names in rock and roll, to the hottest up and coming artists on the scene†says blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus.
