Bette Midler helps raise money for Haiti with final Vegas shows

Singer and entertainer Bette Midler is joining the Haiti earthquake relief efforts by urging fans to donate funds for the victims of this catastrophe. Donations can be made during the last performances of her highly acclaimed show at Ceasars Palace. Midler also promised to match the amount donated, which, according to a spokesperson, reached almost $39,000 over the weekend.

All the funds collected will go to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical and humanitarian organization dedicated to bring help and aid to the thousands of people around the world and currently providing attention and earthquake relieves in Haiti.

Midler's special charity performances will take place today, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, January 24th.
