Danish player and bet365 poker sponsored pro, Jasper Hougaard has become the first player to win a World Series of Poker bracelet in two continents. Hougaard achieved his first WSOP bracelet during the last edition of the WSOP in Las Vegas in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em tournament after outlasting a field of 2,447 players and taking the $610,304 first prize check.

The 24 year old player has recently won his second bracelet at the WSOPE running at the Empire in

Leicester Square
in London, England. Hougaard started the £1,500 No Limit Hold'em tournament final table in eight place but rapidly managed to reduce the distance with the rest of the players at the table, securing a place in the heads-up play. After only five hands of heads-up play the Jasper finally took his second title of the year, the WSOP gold bracelet and the £144,218 first prize (about $275.000).

With this victory, Hougaard becomes the first professional player in winning a World Series of Poker event on both sides of the Atlantic, and the second player that have won multiple WSOP bracelets in 2008. Hougaard, who regularly plays in live tournaments around Europe, joined bet365 at the beginning of this year as part of Bet365 exclusive team of poker ambassadors and sponsored players and has taken part in several bounty tournaments as well as other events at the bet365 site.
