The best Chinese restaurateurs from all over the United States will meet in Las Vegas on January 5^th, 2009 at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino to attend the 5th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the USA Awards Show and Conference. The culinary event is organized by Chinese Restaurant News, the Awards Show is a nationwide event that created to honor, promote and preserve the best in traditional and innovative Chinese gastronomy. Award winning Chef Martin Yan will host the award ceremony and announce the winners.

The Top 100 Overall Excellence award represents a highly esteemed recognition given to restaurants in categories such as Regional Cuisine, Take-Out, Buffets, Best Decor, Signature Dishes, Rising Stars, Healthy Menus, Asian Fusion and Local Favorites. The Top 100 competition is open to all Chinese restaurants in the United States territory, including recently established restaurants, veteran restaurants, franchises and past award-winners.

Besides the highly expected awards show, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy there a special Chinese zodiac food art showcase featuring Master Carver Moon Sarai and Award winning Art Chef Jimmy Zhang in Celebration of the Year of the Ox. Other activities scheduled for the event include cooking exhibitions and seminars covering topics such as Healthy Dining; Promoting Good Eating; Cooking towards a greener future Restaurant operations seminars, cooking demonstrations by Rio Hotel Star Chef Brandon Cheney and a special dinner menu sponsored by Master Chef Lee Kum Kee, which will be presented at the exclusive and long waited evening gala.
