Be as quiet as a mouse while playing online

Alright, now how many of us have been mucked by a donkey, and as a result lose a significant amount of your poker chips? Now if everyone were to answer that I think we would have the biggest thread in the forum. Now how tempting is it to unleash your anger in that chat box at the donk who made that dumb play? Well I know for me it is very tempting, but here is why I will not type anything in the chat box.

First off, it is poor etiquette to type anger into the chat box. Secondly, realize that you will soon have those donk's chips. You want him to keep calling those weak hands pre flop so you can eventually take all of his chips. He may be new in the exciting world of online poker, and by typing in the chat box "Why are you playing those garbage hands?”, this may cause him to realize that the hand he played was not very good, and as a result learns from that and folds them. Let’s look at an example:

You get dealt Q-Q, Player B gets dealt 5-7 of hearts, and calls your raise pre flop. The flop comes Q-3-4 with one heart, you bet the pot and he calls. The turn is a 9 of hearts, you go all in, he has 1/2 of your stack and calls. The river is a K of hearts, giving him the flush.

Now here is the thing, sure he sucked out big time, but we want him to keep calling garbage hands pre flop like 5-7. So to summarize, by getting angry at donks and the hands they play, they may begin to tighten up and realize how bad of a play they made. You want the donks to keep calling garbage hands preflop so you can eventually take their chips. Donks never last long, how many times have you been at a final table with a donk? Not a lot for me anyways, and this is because donks normally equal free chips. So remember next time you get sucked out on by a donk, do not type anything in the chat box as you will.

You have to realize that donks are a part of the game of poker, however most players don't realize how profitable they can be. Sure they might get lucky every now and then, but sooner or later they are bound to lose, and when they do, you want to be the person they lose to.
