Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Out of UFC 119

According to reports issued by several Mixed Martial Arts news sites, Brazilian heavyweight fighter Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has been forced to pulled out of his rematch against former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Frank Mir (11-6-0) set to headline the UFC 119 due to a hip injury that will require surgery.
Now Mir, who won knocked Nogueira in December 2008, at UFC 92, will face former Pride Fighting Championship's Grand Prix winner and MMA legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic (27-7-2, 4-3 UFC). The Croatian fighter made his UFC debut in 2007 at at UFC 67 in Las Vegas with a victory against Eddie Sanches. The same year, Filipovic took a break from the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion after suffering two straight loses against Brazilian Ju Jitsu expert Gabriel Gonzaga and French kickboxer Cheick Kongo. Filipović returned to the UFC in 2009, losing against Junior dos Santos at UFC 103, and scoring two knock outs against Australian fighter Anthony Perosh at UFC 110 and Patrick Barry at UFC 115.
UFC 119 takes place Sept. 25 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and will be the first professional Mixed Martial Arts event in Indiana. The event will be co headlined by a Lighyt Heavyweight fight between Nogueira's twin brother, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and Ryan Bader. Other bouts on the Main Card include Matt Serra vs.Chris Lytle, Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham, and Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens.
The five-fight main card will air live on pay-per-view. In addition, at least two fights from the six-fight preliminary card will also air live on the Spike TV as a lead-in to the pay-per-view.
