Another online poker player caught cheating?

Online Poker InformationFull Tilt Poker decided to disqualify a poker player after winning a large pot in a poker tournament due some suspicions about him cheating in an online poker event.

Everything started about a month ago, when an online poker player won two major online poker tournaments in a matter of a week. The first tournament he won was the Full Tilt Poker $1 Million Guaranteed and then the next week he also won the Sunday Millions tournament on PokerStars. There were some comments in the beginning questioning the chances of such an amazing participation; some added that it was either a mere coincidence or the product of an excellent puff. Everything changed when some information was posted by the player who took the second place, the post revealed that in an official communication by Full Tilt Poker, the winner was disqualified from the tournament and he was going to be awarded with the first place.

The reason behind the disqualification was bravely stated in the post; apparently an already eliminated player took over the winner’s account late in the tournament. According to Full Tilt, the player that took over the account was promised a % of the total profits in exchange for finishing out the tournament. This player who took over the account is reportedly Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi, and apparently he too has been banned from Full Tilt Poker.

More information about this matter will be posted as soon as Full Tilt Poker releases an official statement.
