Annie Duke teams up with Commerce Casino to present first Celebrity Poker Tournament Benefiting DEF

Professional poker player and member of UltimateBet Poker Team, Annie Duke, is teaming up with the famous Commerce Casino in Los Angeles to present a special charity poker event benefiting the Decision Education Foundation (DEF), a non profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of young people by empowering them with effective decision skills.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 19th, at 8 PM during Commerce’s L.A. Poker Open and will be hosted by Commerce Casino executive John Griffo and celebrity tournament director Matt Savage. Annie Duke Celebrity Poker Night is sponsored and supported by Sports Legends Challenge 2010, Rockwell Time, World Series of Poker Academy, Yvel, Savage Tournaments, Life's A Bluff, 2-Step Images, ZizZazz, Monster Cable, Ollie Pop, Who's Your Daddy, Ultimate Bet, The Autograph Guys.
Annie Duke's Celebrity Poker Tournament offer players a rare opportunity to play "home style" poker with pros and celebrities, including Anthrax musician Scott Ian, Broadway actor Andrew Hill Newman, American Internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis, film and stage actor Joshua Malina, “NUMB3RS†Kathy Najimy, “Celebrity Apprentice†star and model Brande Roderick, “Dancing With the Stars†model/actress Shannon Elizabeth, film/TV actor and director Joe Reitman, professional poker players Annie Duke, Dan Harrington, Rafe Furst, Howard “The Professor†Lederer, John “Johnny World†Hennigan, Adam “Roothlus†Levy, Joe Sebok, hockey pro-gone-poker-pro Greg “FTB†Mueller, MIT blackjack legend Andy Bloch, Dave “Hollywood†Stann, World Series of Poker Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, game show personality Ali Nejad, and author Michael Craig. The evening will include cocktails and silent and live auctions.
The tournament will feature more than $30,000 in prizes and more than 300 giveaways provided by the event's sponsors. First place prize is a 2010 Sports Legends Challenge entry. In addition, Rockwell Time will award watches to each of the top three finishers.
The event will kick off with a red carpet walk beginning at 7:00 PM and will provide fans the chance to take pictures with the invited guests. Right after the Red Carpet, participants will mingle, play, and celebrate in a relaxed environment. Each participant will receive a generous gift bag.
The Annie Duke DEF CPT is open to the public. Tickets are $330. Tournament re-entries and a one-time add-on are available each for $100. All proceeds benefit DEF. Seats are limited. Players can pre-register by visiting the Commerce Casino poker room.
