3rd Annual Beaujolais Nouveau wine celebration kicks-off at Paris Las Vegas

The 3rd Annual Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau wine celebration, a classic French tradition brought to Sin City and celebrated every year at Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, kicked off yesterday with the traditional grape stomp ceremony. The event was attended by several well known characters and hosted by former Playboy Playmate and PH's Peepshow star, Holly Madison, who dressed like Lucille Ball to recreate “Lucy's famous grape stomp sketch.
According to the French tradition, the Beaujolais Nouveau is released on the third Thursday of November. The Las Vegas annual event were held at 3 p.m., coinciding with midnight in Paris, France. Beaujolais Nouveau is made from hand-harvested Gamay grapes. The wine features a unique fresh and fruity taste and bouquet that make its the perfect accompaniment to many holiday dishes. In tradition, Georges DuBoeuf proclaimed the 2009 harvest as one of the best in the last 50 years.
Holly Madison, "Lucy" and Yann Bourigault, North America Export Director of Les Vins Georges DuBoeuf were on hand at Paris Las Vegas to unveil this year's custom designed bottle and were among the first to sample the 2009 harvest.
Paris Las Vegas will offer wine lovers and enthusiasts five days of special events, tastings and unique Beaujolais Nouveau pairings at eateries such as Mon Ami Gabi, Les Artistes Steakhouse and the Sterling Brunch at Bally's Steakhouse.
