2010 USA Sevens Rugby Pools and Schedule set

The pools and match schedule for the 2010 USA Sevens Rugby in taking place in Las Vegas on February 13-14 have been announced by the International Rugby Board. The 2010 USA Sevens will feature the best 16 teams in the world, competing in forty-four matches over two days at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. USA Sevens features national teams from USA, New Zealand, France, Australia, England, South Africa, Wales, Scotland, Samoa, Fiji, Argentina, Japan, Canada, Chile, Kenya, and Guyana.
Pool A will see New Zealand, Australia, France and NACRA qualifiers Guyana, while the U.S, South Africa, Fiji and Canada will clash on Pool B. Pool C will feature Samoa, Kenya, Chile, who are currently playing for the South American championships in Mar del Plata, and Scotland. Current USA Sevens champions, Argentina will face-off against last year’s runners-up England, with world champions Wales and Japan joining them in Pool D.
"It is exciting to be holding the fourth leg of this year's Series in Las Vegas for the first time. I am sure that the teams and traveling supporters will be treated to a warm welcome, a festival atmosphere and what promises to be the best USA Sevens to date," said Lapasset speaking on IRB.com.
In addition to the exciting rugby matches, the 2010 USA Sevens Fan Festival and Fan Festival will provide spectators e family-friendly live entertainment, with several activities for children of all ages to enjoy, including games, music and sport activities. Rugby fans can also visit the beer garden, which provides an outdoor oasis to meet new friends, host business clients, network with global visitors and simply enjoy the experience of the international event. The festival will be a Jumbo Screen showing the live action from the field and a live stage that will provide entertainment of bands and dance troops, both local and international.
