2009 WSOPE coverage begins next weekend on ESPN2

The first telecast of the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe Presented by Betfair will air on ESPN2 next Sunday, January 31st, at 11 p.m. For the second straight year, ESPN2 will provide comprehensive coverage of the annual tournament series held from September 17 – October 1, 2009 at the Empire Casino in London, England, including additional episodes dedicated to the inaugural Caesars Cup event.
The Caesars Cup telecast will make its debut on January 31st at 11:00 PM ET with the first of two back-to-back episodes covering the best moments of this Ryder-Cup style event featuring Team Europe vs. Team Americas in a series of single and team matches.
The 2009 WSOPE Main Event will air on Sunday, February 7th, at 10 p.m. ET. The Main Event telecast will present viewers and poker fans some of the most incredible hands ever captured on television, including an incredible final table comprised by 6 former World Series of Poker gold bracelet winners plus two members of the 2009 November Nine battling out for the championship. The fantastic finish pits two of the games biggest names concluding the event in dramatic fashion, at 5 a.m. after three-hours of heads up action.
Once again this year, ESPN's 2009 WSOPE coverage will be hosted by Lon McEachern and Norman Chad, who will be joined on each telecast by reporter and professional poker player Kara Scott.
