2009 WSOP Main Event qualifiers begin at PokerStars.com

The 2009 WSOP, the biggest and most important tournament series in the world of poker is only a few weeks from kicking off, and once again, PokerStars.com is giving poker players from all over the planet the chance of getting a seat at the Main Event thanks to the recently launched online WSOP satellites running every day and starting for only a few dollars or Frequent Player Points.
PokerStars.com's 2009 World Series of Poker qualifiers will be running daily starting on Monday, April 20, with Cash and Frequent Player Point (FPP) qualifiers starting for as little as $2.20 or 40 FPP. Players can also enter the Steps qualifiers available on the site for $7.50. Qualified players will each get a Main Event Prize package worth $12,000, which includes the $10,000 Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodation at the Palms Resort and Casino and $1,000 in cash for travel and personal expenses. The 2009 WSOP Main Event is set to begin on July 3rd, 2009, at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Last year Poker Stars set a new record in the online poker industry after awarding more than 2,000 packs for the World Series of Poker. In addition, six PokerStars sponsored players qaulified for the final 9 table, including Dennis Phillips ($4,517,773) and Ylon Schwartz ($3,774,974), and Friend of PokerStars Darus Suharto ($2,418,562) as well as the 2008 Champ Peter Eastgate and Main Event runner-up Ivan Demidov, both now members of world famous Team PokerStars Pro.
