11 time WSOP bracelet winner runs "Phil Hellmuth Look-A-Like" contest at the 2008 WSOPE
- 9-26-2008
Players and attendants at the 2008 WSPOE in London will start seeing double this Saturday when the eleven times WSOP bracelet winner and Ultimate Bet poker pro, Phil Hellmuth comes to the WSOPE surrounded by a horde of men and women competing for the "Phil Hellmuth Look-A-Like" title. This unusual contest will gather Phil Hellmuth fans and loathers at the Leicester Square where the Ultimate Bet sponsored pro will select the winner and award him (or her…who knows!) with a £2,000 check and the pleasure to join the WSOP champ and his team of gorgeous groupies into the casino in where Hellmuth will compete in the World Series of Poker Europe for his 12th World Series Bracelet, and the title as the most prolific tournament poker player on the planet.
"I have a great chance to win my 12th bracelet at the WSOPE and break yet another world-record. I am the best poker player in the world, and while I don't have to prove anything to the poker community, it would still be the greatest personal accomplishment to be the first to get 12." said Hellmuth.
Hellmuth is not only the youngest player to ever win the World Series of Poker Main Event; he’s also the only player in the world that has won 11 WSOP bracelets and currently holds the record for most WSOP cashes with a total of 69, more than what many pros have achieved in a lifetime.
Phil Hellmuth is also an eccentric guy who enjoys showing the people how extravagant you can be when you hold the title as the best poker player in the world, attending the 2008 WSOP dressed like General Patton and touring London in a double-decker bus full of beauties during the 2007 WSOPE.
