Casino Games That You Haven't Heard of
- 2-26-2008
Every one who has spent a little time playing in a casino knows that blackjack, roulette, craps and slots are by definition the most popular games on the planet, but have you even considered playing other casino games besides the conventional options? Casinos have many different types of games and chances to win big money, unfortunately not every player knows the basics of each game or at list have an idea of what is it about and how to play it. Other times people simply do not like the game, but in many occasions the casino keeps it around for a few people as long as they continue to make money. Every game has its own science, so make sure you understand the game rules and play a little before you consider giving it a try. Here is a short list of some of the options you can find in many casinos, so next time you’re at the brick and mortar or online casino go out of the norm and try one of these new, but different games.

Pai Gow Poker
Not many people play this, but Johnny Chan and Greg Raymer love to play this
poker related game. In Pai Gow the player gets seven cards and has to
manage two hands of cards instead of only one but using the same hand rankings as
poker. What comes next is very simple; all the player has to do is to bet on
whether those hands are better than the dealer's.
Sic Bo
Sic Bo is a popular game in Asia that has been introduced in many casinos all
around the planet, including Las Vegas, Atlantic City and other casinos in the
U.S. The game is played with three regular six-sided dices. The players can
make a number of bets based on the combinations that come up on the three dice.
The wagers available and the payout charts can vary from place to place.
Red Dog
The purpose of this game is to bet on what the third card is going to be. First the player places a wager and then the dealer deals two cards facing up. If the two cards are consecutive then the hand is a push, but if the two cards are not consecutive or equal a spread is announced, which is the card values in between the cards dealt. The player has the chance to increase the bet, then a third card is dealt and if it is in between the first two cards the player wins according to a payout chart, but if it matches any of the two cards or is outside the first two cards then the player loses.
Keno
Similar to playing lottery, Keno is not difficult to learn, all you have to do
is pick up 10 numbers in a field of 80 numbers and then 20 winning numbers are
randomly selected. The game’s pays based on how many winning numbers you selected.
Let It Ride
Let it Ride is poker variation played against the house instead of other
players. In Let it Ride the player wagers on a hand consisting of three cards
in the player's hand and two community cards in the dealer's hand. The hand ranking is the same as in
poker and the payment you get will depend on how good your hand is.
Poker Dice
Poker Dice is an adaptation of traditional poker, you play with 5 marked to simulate a playing-card deck's top six cards. The
object is to get the best possible hand, including 5 of a kind. Each
player has three chances to roll the dice. On the first roll, you can roll all
five dice, then set aside any number of dice and re-roll the remainder. After
the second roll, you may once again set aside any number of dice and re-roll
the remainder. Once dice are set aside, they may not be re-rolled, but if you
get a good hand then you’re no longer required to make a second or third roll.
